Make a splash this summer and sign up to Befriend a Childs Mermaid Marathon/ Mermaid Mile.

Help Befriend a Child support children and young people facing difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire by either taking on the challenge to swim a mile (64 lengths) or a marathon (1688 lengths) across July and August. Your marathon / mile can be carried out in a swimming pool, outdoors (safety first!), or in a really big bath. Once you have successfully completed your challenge and become a star (fish) you will earn your fins and receive an official Mermaid Marathon/Mile personalised certificate from Befriend a Child.

To start making waves simply sign up by hitting the orange start fundraising button and set up your page. You can take on the challenge as an individual, with family or with friends. All we ask is that you raise minimum of £50 to help support the work that we do.
