Bouncing for a Serious Cause: Help Us Save Lives
When someone goes missing, every second counts. That’s where Merseyside Lowland Search and Rescue (MerSAR) steps in. Our highly trained volunteers drop everything day or night to search for high-risk missing people across Merseyside and beyond. But we can’t do it without your help.
This year, the MerSAR team is swapping muddy boots for bouncy castles to raise vital funds by taking on the Inflatable 5K Challenge—a hilarious, high-energy obstacle course that’s as chaotic as it is challenging.
Why We’re Doing This?
Search and rescue is serious work. It means hours of training, specialised equipment, and a 24/7 commitment to being there when someone needs us most.
That’s why we’re tackling 5k of bouncing, sliding, and struggling in style to help keep MerSAR running and ready.
Where Does Yoir Money Go?
Every donation makes a real impact. Here’s what your support helps fund:
*Specialist search equipment
*Team training and qualifications
*Fuel and maintenance for our vehicles
*Operational kit for challenging environments
*Insurance such as vehicle, drones, public liability, etc.
*Computer systems such as callout system, team equipment management and search mapping
With no government funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of the public.
We’re not athletes. We’re volunteers with muddy boots, rescue kit, and a sense of humour. Taking on the Inflatable 5K is our way of showing just how far we’ll go, not just for missing people, but to also raise the funds that keep us searching.
Join us. Back the team if you can. And help us continue to do what we do best!
