Story
Our Chairman Callum Needs Your Support!
Just three weeks ago, our fundraising team was preparing for the biggest challenge we've faced in 10 years — with Callum (our Chairman), James (Trustee), and Ben (Volunteer) all set to take it on together.
But due to unforeseen circumstances, the challenge has taken a dramatic turn.
Callum will now be heading to Holland alone, to take on this physically and mentally demanding journey by himself. Over the course of 14 days, he'll be cycling 60 miles a day and walking approximately 15 miles totaling over 1000 miles — and all this from someone who’s not a cyclist, not a walker, and wouldn’t describe himself as ‘fit’.
This isn’t just a physical test — it’s a mental battle too. No teammates to push through the dark moments. No shared laughs or motivation on the road. Just one man, his bike, and an incredible amount of determination.
This challenge represents the very heart of what our charity stands for — grit, sacrifice, and community. Our charity is run entirely by volunteers and trustees who all work full-time jobs. The challenges and events we organise throughout the year are the main source of our income — and this one is crucial.
If you can support Callum in any way — whether by donating, sharing his story, or simply sending words of encouragement — it would mean the world to him and to all of us at the charity.
Let’s show Callum that even though he’s cycling solo, he’s never truly alone.
Please support our Callum. 💛
