Pushing Limits for a Purpose: Mick’s Solo Ride for Options for Life 🚴♂️💙
When Mick Burton, Business Development Director at Jacopa Ltd in Oldbury, decided to take on a challenge, he didn’t just think of pushing himself physically—he thought of making a meaningful impact.
On Friday, 27th June, Mick will set off on a solo charity bike ride from North Nottinghamshire to Skegness, covering over 80 miles. Riding alone, Mick isn’t just tackling the physical distance—he’s embracing the mental challenge too.
I wanted to do something that tests me personally, but also helps others, Mick shares.
Based in West Bromwich, Jacopa believes in supporting the local community. That’s how Mick came across Options for Life—a local charity that supports adults with learning disabilities and/or autism across Sandwell and the Black Country.
Moved by the charity’s mission to help people build life skills, find pathways to employment, and live independently, Mick chose Options for Life as his charity of choice for this personal challenge.
Wearing a specially printed cycling vest featuring the Options for Life logo, Mick aims to raise awareness and funds to help improve the charity’s facilities—ensuring safe, warm, and accessible environments for those they support.
His journey is not just a ride—it’s a message of resilience, community, and giving back.
Support Mick as he pedals with purpose, and help us make a lasting difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities. Every mile he rides and every pound you give matters.
