Story
At RSPCA Cornwall Branch, we care for dogs who are waiting for a second chance at life.
All of our dogs are exercised every day by our dedicated team and volunteers. But for some dogs — especially those with lots of energy or those finding kennel life challenging — daily walks alone are not always enough.
That’s where enrichment and additional exercise become so important.
We are raising £2,000 to purchase a specialist dog treadmill to provide extra exercise sessions for the dogs who need it most, helping them stay active, reduce stress and feel more settled while they wait for their forever homes.
Dogs like Mollie, a 5-year-old Presa Canario, have lots of energy but can find kennel life overwhelming at times. For her, exercise plays a vital role in her wellbeing — helping her feel calmer, more balanced and better able to cope.
This is something many of us can relate to. We often turn to exercise to support our own mental health — and it is no different for the dogs in our care.
You can support this campaign in a way that suits you:
🏃 Run or walk and get sponsored
🏋️ Take on a gym challenge or treadmill session
👟 Set yourself a distance or time goal
Every mile you move will help rescue dogs move too.
This treadmill will allow us to provide safe, structured enrichment sessions, giving dogs more opportunities to move, play and enjoy their day — whatever the weather.
As a self-funded charity, it costs over £1 million every year to run our centre. Every pound donated stays right here in Cornwall, directly helping local animals.
Any funds raised beyond the cost of the treadmill will go towards supporting and rehabilitating rescue animals in our care.
By supporting this campaign, you are helping rescue dogs stay active, happy and ready for their new homes.
Thank you for being part of their journey 🐾
