The Millingtons Mobility Mission

At Millingtons, we believe every life deserves a second chance.

Sometimes that second chance looks like safety. Sometimes it looks like a warm bed, a full belly, or the first gentle touch an animal has ever known. And sometimes, it looks like a new leg or a set of wheels.

This summer, our fundraiser is dedicated to two very special members of the Millingtons family: Star and Bunny.

Star is our beautiful three-legged sheep. Despite everything life has thrown at her, she has never let it stop her. She is strong, gentle and full of character, but as she moves through life on three legs, her body has to work much harder than it should. A new custom prosthetic leg would help give her more balance, more support and more comfort as she potters around the sanctuary.

Bunny is our wonderful disabled sheep, who relies on her wheelchair to move safely and confidently. Her wheels are her freedom. They allow her to explore, graze, interact with the other animals and live the full, happy life she deserves. But as Bunny grows and her needs change, she now needs a new wheelchair that is properly fitted to support her body and keep her moving comfortably.

This is what the Millingtons Mobility Mission is all about.

We are raising funds to commission a new prosthetic leg for Star and a new wheelchair for Bunny, giving them both the support they need to enjoy sanctuary life with more freedom, dignity and confidence.Neither Star nor Bunny know they are different. They do not feel sorry for themselves. They simply get on with life in the way animals so often do, with quiet courage, trust and a little bit of magic.

Our job is to make sure they have everything they need to do that safely and comfortably. Every donation, no matter the size, will take us one step and one roll closer to giving Star and Bunny the mobility support they deserve.
