Breathe in. Now, breathe out.
Something as innate and simple as breathing has become a struggle for Milo the French Bulldog, who has been diagnosed with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS).
Unfortunately, Milo is not the first, and wont be the last French Bulldog to be diagnosed with BOAS.
Due to the rise in demand for this breed to be bred smaller and cuter many French Bulldogs are being born with flatter faces and narrow nostrils, causing them to have difficulty breathing, keeping down food and can even lead to heart failure in extreme cases.
This is no life for a dog who just wants to be able to breathe comfortably. Thankfully, there is help available. Milo can undergo surgery to make his nasal passage wider and to resect his soft palate; allowing him to breathe normally.
We are appealing for your help to raise £1000 to cover the cost of Milos surgery and aftercare treatment. You can be confident in knowing that any donation, big or small, will make a vast difference to Milos life.
Every dog deserves a happy life full of fun and adventures and with your help, we can get Milos living the life he deserves! He really is the most affectionate boy, who just wants to be loved and play.
Please give what you can.
Thank you.
Please note: Milo is not currently available for adoption. We will keep you updated with his journey.
In the event we exceed our target of £1000, the additional donations will go towards helping other dogs in our care.
