Miracle Babies

Our aim is to support premature and sick babies from across Cheshire and Mersey, their families, and those caring for them at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

The aim of Liverpool Women's Charity is to raise funds to improve the care and support given to the patients and their families. Money raised helps to provide services and facilities above what is normally provided through NHS funding.

Story

Our aim is to support premature and sick babies from across Cheshire and Mersey, their families, and those caring for them at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. The care that is delivered whilst babies are on the unit is at the heart of what we do, but we recognise that this care needs to begin both before birth and also after families leave hospital.

The babies we care for may have health challenges that extend into childhood and beyond and the impact of having a baby on a neonatal unit can have long term effects on parental well-being and family relationships.

NHS funding allows us to meet the immediate health care needs of the babies for whom we care, but we aspire to a model of care that meets needs beyond the immediate.

Miracle Babies aims to support health care teams in delivering world-class neonatal care, and to support families in navigating their time on the neonatal unit and the impact of this time on life beyond the hospital doors.
