MEDEVAC FRONTLINE – MISSION UKRAINE 2026
The war in Ukraine has not stopped. But as global attention shifts to new crises, the suffering of ordinary Ukrainians risks being quietly forgotten.
Every week, trains arrive from the frontline carrying the injured — civilians caught in shelling, soldiers pulled from shattered positions, and people whose lives have changed in a single moment. Many arrive in critical condition. This is where paramedics matter most.
The United Kingdom is home to some of the most highly trained paramedics in the world. In fact, modern paramedicine as a specialist field developed here. UK paramedics are trained not only to treat patients in hospitals, but to deliver advanced lifesaving care at the scene of an emergency and during the crucial journey to hospital.
In early March 2026, Medevac Frontline will drive its ex-NHS fleet ambulance (call sign 'DRAGON') from the UK to Ukraine to support the medical response to this ongoing humanitarian crisis. Soon after the ambulance arrives, a team of UK paramedics will follow.
This mission has two vital goals.
First, Medevac Frontline will establish a placement and mentorship programme where UK paramedics work directly alongside Ukrainian medics. The aim is not to replace local teams, but to support them — sharing experience, skills, and approaches developed through the UK’s world-leading paramedic training. Working side by side in real emergency conditions, this collaboration strengthens the ability of local responders to treat critically injured patients quickly and effectively.
Second, these combined teams will respond to the arrival of medical evacuation trains bringing casualties from areas close to the frontline. Many of the patients arriving are seriously wounded and must be rapidly assessed, stabilised, and transported to hospitals capable of providing surgery and specialist care.
But this mission can only continue with public support.
With your help, Medevac Frontline will be able to rotate teams of UK paramedics back into Ukraine throughout 2026, maintaining a hopefully continuous presence alongside Ukrainian colleagues responding to these emergencies. Your donation helps cover the practical costs that make this lifesaving work possible — the cost of appropriate Personal Protection Equipment, communications, fuel, team travel costs from UK, running the Base of Operations in Ukraine and the UK HQ Admin.
By supporting MISSION UKRAINE 2026, you are helping ensure that when the injured arrive from the frontline, trained paramedics are there to meet them.
Your donation helps bring lifesaving care to people who urgently need it — and reminds the people of Ukraine that they have not been forgotten.
Please support Medevac Frontline and help us deliver MISSION UKRAINE 2026.
