Here at the centre our Lower yard is in need of significant repair or rebuilding as it has been housing horses for over 20 years and was never built to last. We regularly have to replace parts of the walls, almost weekly and are endeavouring to achieve a better more robust stabling system for these horses that need better protection and we also need to improve the drainage before next winter when the flooding will start again

The staff and volunteers at the centre are working hard to put fundraising ideas in place in order to achieve a significant amount of revenue to improve the condition of the horses' stabling, long-term. We have excellent architects and builders involved in this project and we hope to start the new build next spring 2022. Please give generously to this cause and know that you will have a named plaque on the new stable block acknowledging your contribution which will be very much appreciated by us all but especially the horses.

Moorcroft has re-homed many ex-racehorses that we visit regularly and support in many ways and we also have had to take in many horses as they have left racing in 2020 and 2021 and the industry does not support us financially anymore and we are running at a deficit. Therefore, we seek help from those who maybe enjoy racing or care about the horses that need help after their racing career has ended often at quite a young age.
