The Winchester Muslim Cultural Association have setup this fundraising page to help our brothers and sisters, they are desperately struggling due to the recent events.
We have brother Mustapha whose region has been directly affected, he will organise for the funds to go where they are most needed.
Half of the money raised will go to the Imlil Solidarity Association that works across that part of the Atlas mountains. They are providing shelter, food and water to those affected. Access for aid is difficult due to roads being blocked by fallen rocks and boulders.
The other half of the money raised will go to Islamic Relief who are helping more directly in Marrakesh.
More than 2000 people have been killed and thousands injured in Morocco following a devastating earthquake.
The magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Morocco on Friday 8 September around 11 p.m.
It is estimated that at least 300,000 people will be directly affected.
The earthquake hit the city of Marrakech very hard, but also the provinces of Al-Haouz and Taroudant.
The earthquake is the hardest to hit Morocco in 120 years.
Please donate generously and share with your friends and family.
