Muirfield Riding Therapy

Our specially trained therapy ponies and volunteers bring joy, confidence and improved physical and mental health for people with disabilities. Our therapy transforms lives, building strength, balance, communication, and trust. It gives participants pride and families hope.

And, it's thanks to our supporters that it remains free-of-charge and accessible to everyone.

Meet Max

Max was just 2 when he first came to Muirfield Riding Therapy, and his parents told us of the difficulties he had, caused by cerebral palsy. Now, following sessions lead by our specially trained equine assisted therapist, Max has seen significant improvements. Max is just here for the fun!

We’re an East Lothian based charity with a mighty impact. Our Centre at West Fenton Farm & Livery has been here for 37 years, we’ve supported 1000s of people from the local community and beyond since then.

We’re the largest branch of RDA in Scotland, and are proud to be among only a handful of Centres across the UK offering therapy free-of-charge, to make sure it is accessible to anyone who needs it.
