Charities Together is about bringing together Irish charities so we can help them through 2020. We are asking people to support our #20in2020 campaign where people donate 20 to a charity, or charities, that are important to them and then tell 20 people they know about it, to help the sector to get through these challenging times. Were also encouraging people to fundraise however they want to by selecting the start fundraising button above and creating your own fundraising page as part of this campaign.

As a result of the covid-19 pandemic, millions of euro in funding has been lost by Irish charities as thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled. Many of these charities have had to reduce or stop their services at a time when their services are needed the most. MS Ireland is one of them.

MS Ireland is the only national organisation providing information, vital services and support to the MS community. We provide a wide range of specialised services and resources on a national, regional and local level. Services include; Regional Community Worker programmes for one-to-one support; physiotherapy; symptom management courses; newly diagnosed sessions and the MS Information Line, one of the first services used in the time leading up to or following a diagnosis. We also provide the only national respite and therapy centre for people with MS in Ireland.

We are rapidly adapting to meet the new needs of people living with MS and their families across the country. Some changes we have had to make:

1 The National MS Care Centre has been temporarily closed

2 Information Phone line hours have been increased

3 Regional workers have moved to online visits

4 Moving physio classes to an online platform

It is more important now than ever before to ensure we will continue to reach, and provide support to these people.
