Greetings, I am Brianna Boyce, Miss U.N.C.F. on the campus of LeMoyne-Owen College for 2022-2023 academic school year. I am a graduating senior obtaining a degree in Special Education with high hopes of becoming a CEO of a residential center for special needs children. I am a proud born and raised Memphian with Wooddale Cardinals roots. After beginning my higher educational journey at a different institution, I transferred from Southwest Tennessee Community College to the one and only HBCU in Memphis four years ago, easily one of the best decisions I have ever made. As I attended this prominent institution, I have been blessed to be a part of a family that welcomed me from day one and have kept me until this current day. I began becoming involved in campus leadership in the Student Government Association, as the Junior Class president and from then I knew more was to come. I joined Campus Activity Board, Rotaract Club, Drama Club, Collegiate 100, U.N.C.F. Ambassador, Phi Delta Kappa
(education fraternity), and much more. While involved in all those amazing organizations, I still wanted to be more of an advocate to represent the great name of LeMoyne-Owen College. After doing some research and seeing how I can best affect change, I decided to run for Miss U.N.C.F., bringing the B.R.I. acronym of Bright, Resilient, and Innovative to life. With the platform of The Magical Touch, The platform initiative I will implement is being proactive, a team player, and flexible. Being proactive is an absolute must as a leader to fight complacency and accomplish goals. I will advocate for innovative ideas on the campus to bring more student engagement to and awareness for signing up for scholarships and internships opportunities. Creating a platform of openness and simplicity that everybody can be on board with to make the resources easily accessible for student usage is essential. It is also my goal to ensure that if a student needs help or feels lost about the UNCF services that they have multiple resources and people to reach out to. Ensuring our non-traditional students are provided the same resources as our traditional students for possible opportunities is an example of the transparency I strive to engender within all students. We will rock the scene this year with events and bringing awareness to the U.N.C.F. as well as Pre-Alumni council.
I am ready for the work that must be done to fulfill the duties in the roll as Miss U.N.C.F. during the 2022-2023 academic school year. Thank You,
Brianna Bebe Boyce
