As the enormity of the global coronavirus pandemic becomes an unknown reality, we have already seen the effect it is having on our ability to generate income. Sadly, this week, we have had to deal with the cancellation and postponement of a number of key fundraising events, which we heavily rely on.
Here at MDUK our 60 year history has taught us that it is at times like these that our community, those living with and supporting people living with a muscle wasting condition, becomes stronger than ever. With your help we are proud to have funded and supported research to drive the development of effective treatments, and support individuals and their families from the point of diagnosis onwards.
If you donate to MDUK already thank you so much your support is going to be crucial to ensuring that we can continue to support people with muscle wasting conditions that is needed now more than ever. There is now an urgent need to raise more funds to meet the growing demand Coronavirus will have on our services.
As well as guiding individuals and families through the vast amounts of information coming from Public Health England, we are continuing with our work to provide individuals and their families with practical information, advice and opportunities in all areas of their lives. We will continue to work to ensure everyone with a muscle-wasting condition has the right specialist NHS support and healthcare. And we must continue to fund and support research to drive the development of effective treatments.
You have our commitment that we will do all we can to continue making every day count for those living with a muscle wasting condition but in this period of uncertainty we do need more help. If you are able to make a donation to support the additional strain on our services and to help minimise the loss of cancelled events, it would be very much appreciated.
