Message from Peter Cordwell, the re-write is set in a Spike, where tramps used to spend the night in the 1930s. A young female reporter from the Daily Mail is in search of Orwell. Tramps give her details of Orwell's books and essays but always have his back. The original show played at Greenwich theatre in 2012 and at the Lower East Side, New York, two years later. I was incredibly lucky to work with briliant singer-songwriter Carl Picton and on the Spike song with a great musician, Bill Crow. I think the nine songs and Orwell's own words from books and essays shows how relevant the great man is today.
