Everyone has the right to live a full and satisfying life. At Health in Mind we promote positive mental health and wellbeing in Scotland. We provide the tools, information and support to help people cope with life’s challenges and live the life they want to live.

Story

2020 has seen a lot of changes and some restrictions that can impact the things we do to keep well. It's more important than ever to look after our mental health. Our Howl-o-ween Mutt Strut is about getting outdoors with your four legged friend and showing your support for your local mental health charity.

Over the weekend of Friday 30 October - Monday 2 November, take on a 5K, 7K or 10K Mutt Strut for Health in Mind, or if your pup can't manage that distance feel free to choose your own challenge. Fancy dress is encouraged but not essential!

There are two ways to get involved:

1. Make a donation and take on your challenge. We suggest a donation of £5 for the 5K, £7 for the 7K and £10 for the 10K but would appreciate anything that you can donate.

2. Set up a fundraising page and ask your friends and family to sponsor you and your pup for your challenge. Fancy dress is a great way to encourage donations.

Send your pictures to events@health-in-mind.org.uk or tag us on social media to be in with a chance of winning one of our awards:

Pupparazzi award for the best picture

Health in Mind is a charity promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Our unique mix of services includes befriending projects, information, counselling services and specialised trauma support. During this challenging time, we have moved many of our services to online and over the phone support. We use creative and innovative approaches to continue supporting people, for example we hold a fortnightly peer support group using Zoom and have launched a distance befriending project to support those struggling with isolation and loneliness during this time. Thanks to fundraising and donations these vital services enable more than 3,500 people every year to access the help they need.
