At least 21 people with epilepsy in the UK die each week. SUDEP Action, is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those bereaved by epilepsy, raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling deaths in people with epilepsy, including Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

Story

Tragically 21 people with epilepsy die each day in the UK and roughly 600 people with epilepsy will die suddenly with no obvious cause.

SUDEP Action (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) is dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling epilepsy deaths. They are the only UK charity specialised in supporting and involving people bereaved by epilepsy.

In support of SUDEP Action Day (Oct 20th) Paul Warren, Ricky Crump, Hettie Foreman, Dom Smith, Sam Pettiford, Angela Ferreiera, Richard Downham, Mark Tuxford , Anthony Satchell , Jasmine Banovic, Emily Moy and Ben Chandler will be taking on SUDEP Action's My Way to 5K challenge.

This is a charity that is close to our hearts at Making Websites Better, as Paul's younger sister sadly passed away in her sleep in October 2019 and the process has been extremely painful for his family. The shock of a sudden and unexpected death followed by the coroners not being able to give a medical cause of death has been inherently distressing, but Paul is determined to use his younger sister's memory as a way of preventing other families from experiencing the same heartbreak.
