Story

On Sunday 3rd December , a team of dedicated youth work professionals will be completing the BTR Santa Dash through our great city of Liverpool. Their goal is to raise as much money as possible for the ‘Young Person’s Foodbank’ which is located at MYA’s Our Place on Longview Drive in Huyton.

A total of 5 individuals will be doing the Santa Dash, which in addition to being for a good cause, speaks directly to the interests and values of the group. Well-being is a common theme that underpins much of our work with young people, and so it is fitting our staff are choosing to raise funds in this way.

MYA's Young Person's foodbank is a cause close to the team's heart, both personally and professionally, as they need the impact of this greatly needed work every day in Knowsley.

Lyn who manages the foodbank is delighted with the gesture and says:

“Thank you for supporting our project! There are a lot of young people living independently in Knowsley, who are accessing the service and tell us is they wouldn’t be able to eat some weeks without the MYA Young Person’s foodbank. The cost-of-living crisis is having a huge impact on those who were already struggling, and they need our help!”

If you or someone you know would benefit from accessing MYA’s foodbank, please see below for more details:
