Myatt's Fields Park Project

Help Myatt's bloom this summer

Help us to buy flowers and plants for beds throughout the park this year. White agapanthus will make the bandstand beautiful, and rosemary bushes among the roses will feed the bees. We're going for gold in London in Bloom - help us make it happen!

Story

Help us make the park beautiful this year, feed the bees, and create a living memorial.

Myatt's Fields Park Project is raising funds to help our gardeners create a white border around the bandstand, a memorial garden among the rose beds and new pollen-rich wildflower and edible plantings in the nature area. We are going for gold in London in Bloom - help us make it happen!

There are two areas you can donate to:

Memorial plants: Rosemary is for remembrance: for a donation of £30 or more, we'll help you plant a rosemary bush in memory of a special occasion or a loved one. On April 27th, and September 21st 2019 we will invite you to a communal planting ceremony where you can label your plant, and share a few words on the special memories it celebrates. The memorial bed will be around the largest rose bed near Knatchbull Road with the gingko tree at its centre. If you want to participate, mention "rosemary" when donating, and contact manager@myattsfieldspark.info to confirm.

* Plants for people and pollinators: Donate towards plants, bulbs, soil conditioners, and tools for projects including a showpiece white garden with agapanthus and foxglove around the bandstand, redcurrants and lavendar in a sunken fruit and herb garden near the Roundhouse, and evening primrose and teasel for a biennial meadow to provide nectar and overwintering cover in the Nature area. Help celebrate the park's heritage in the footsteps of Joseph Myatt and Fanny Wilkinson.
