This fundraising campaign is a great opportunity for members of the public to contribute towards the most important event in our calendar, Muharram.

As with every year, MYF is holding Muharram Majalis in the English language and we are honoured to confirm that Dr. Sayed Moustafa Al-Qazwini from Los Angeles, California will be joining us to deliver lectures.

As you can imagine, the cost for Muharram isn't small and we need your help to make it happen. Our main costs go towards serving food for the mourners of Imam Hussain (as), hiring a venue to host mourners, audio-visual and other logistical costs.

This is the majlis of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussain (as) who sacrificed everything he had to further the objectives of Islam, and so we ask you to help with what little you can to further these objectives and make them more accessible to the English speaking audiences.

Our approximate breakdown of costs are as follows:

- Food per night for 250 people is £300

- Hall hire for 10 days is £2000

- Audio-visual costs are £1000

- Travel, accommodation and Hadiya for Lecturers and Reciters £8000

- Security, cleaners and other miscellaneous costs are £1000

We need a grand total of just over £15,000.
