At MYsocial, we organise over 60 events every single month. From Dance Aerobics and Table Tennis, to Sunday Brunch Club and Poetry Hour, there really is something for everyone.

The COVID-19 pandemic saw demand for MYsocial events go through the roof. As social isolation increased with the lockdowns, our determination to tackle loneliness grew alongside it. We moved our events online and hosted everything from Zoomin' Bingo to Desert Island Discs. Between April 2020 and March 2021, MYsocial ran 754 events - a record number!

The past year has taught us how invaluable our events are for many older people in Lambeth. We believe that no one should feel isolated or without a support network. By becoming a MYsocial member, older people in Lambeth always have a community to be a part of. We help people discover friendships, connect with their community, and do things that make them happy.

We don't believe that your age defines who you are. That's why at MYsocial we are constantly trying to change the outdated narrative of ageing. We want to encourage older people to stay active, have fun, try new hobbies, and build lifelong friendships.

We try to make our events as inclusive as possible, which is why many of them are free or under £10. But we are completely self-funded and in order to put on more events free of charge, we need YOUR help.

So whether you're a MYsocial member, an Age UK Lambeth supporter, or someone who just wants to make a positive impact on their community, anything you can spare will go directly towards organising more events, bringing more joy, and tackling more stereotypes.
