Story
Namaste Kingston is proud to partner with Akshaya Patra, a remarkable charity in India that provides hot, nutritious meals to schoolchildren every day.
This year, we are pledging to support an entire school for a full year, ensuring that every child receives a daily meal that fuels both body and mind. For many of these children, the midday meal is the only proper nourishment they receive all day. It is more than just food — it is a lifeline to education, health and hope.
Namaste Kingston CIC (Reg No: 15171870) is a volunteer-led Community Interest Company established in September 2023. Its vision is to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and connected community through purposeful initiatives and events that are both enjoyable and meaningful—always designed to support broader social causes. Since its launch, the group has positively impacted over 4,000 local residents, collaborated with 40+ small businesses, and supported multiple local charities.
Akshaya Patra runs the world’s largest NGO-led school meals programme in a single country, serving over 2.35 million children every school day across India. The Food for Education initiative has shown that when children are fed, they are more likely to attend school, concentrate in class and dream bigger. A full stomach means fewer dropouts, better learning outcomes and brighter futures.
With your generous support, we can help break the cycle of hunger and poverty. Join us in making a difference.
We are fundraising for 111 schoolchildren at Mehulwala Mafi School in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Our aim is to feed all children at the school for a full academic year with a collective gift of £1665. As a school donor, you will also receive a year-end report, with pictures of the children you have sponsored, which will be sent to Namaste Kingston.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
