2025 Namibia Project Food & Bakkie Appeal

Campaign by Namibia Project

llKhuta!hoas Primary in Namibia faces a broken bakkie and severe food shortages. Help raise £8,000 to repair their vehicle and keep 85 children nourished with 1,065 weekly meals. Every donation protects their only meals and keeps learning alive.

Closes 25/02/2026

Namibia Project is a UK based charity supporting schools in Namibia through sponsorship, education and meeting basic welfare needs. Every small donation to the Namibia Project has the power to make a difference to improve the lives and opportunities of the orphans and vulnerable learners in Namibia.

Story

||Khuta!hoas Primary School in Southern Namibia is facing a dual crisis. Their bakkie, the vehicle they rely on for fetching food and supplies, has completely broken down. At the same time, their food stores are dangerously low as the region suffers its worst drought in a century.

For 85 children, school meals are often the only food they receive each day. Without the bakkie, staff must walk long distances in harsh heat just to secure basic ingredients. Without food, learning stops altogether.

We are launching an urgent appeal to raise £8,000 to:

• Repair the school’s bakkie so food and essentials can be collected safely and quickly

• Keep 1,065 meals a week flowing through the end of the school year

Every contribution protects both mobility and meals:

£5 = feeds one learner for a week

£20 = feeds four

£50 = keeps ten nourished and in school

£1,500 = revives the bakkie

Please give now. Every mile and every meal matters.
