NASC Swimathon 2026

To raise funds for our swimming club awards night to buy and replace awards/trophies to recognise the achievements of the young swimmers

Northallerton Amateur Swimming Club (NASC) is a family orientated, not-for-profit club with 120+ members and 65 years of history. Based at Hambleton Leisure Centre, we support swimmers of all abilities through learn to swim, training and competition.

Monday session 1 the swimmers have swam a massive 1744 lengths. That is 43,600 metres.

Monday session 2 the swimmers swam 2830 lengths.

The total for Monday night is 4574 lengths, 71 miles. We are almost at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. Well done everyone, great progress!

The Challenge

Help us fund new prizes for our Club Presentation Evening by getting behind swimmers taking part in this swim from Northallerton to London.

We’re excited to be holding a club-wide sponsored swimathon during the final week of term!

This is a huge challenge that will test the strength, stamina and endurance of all swimmers – from Otters through to Masters.

πŸ’° Fundraising Goal

All money raised will go towards:

Replacing missing or damaged trophies, presented from our Club Championships in November (part of Hambleton Championships)

Supporting our annual awards night

πŸ† Prize: A reward will be given to the swimmer who raises the most sponsorship.

Swimmers attend on their usual training nights.

(Bedale swimmers are welcome to attend any swimathon session.)

Monday

18:45-19:45: J1, J2, Development

19:45–21:15: Age Group, Senior, Youth

Wednesday

18:00–19:00: Otters, J1, J2

19:00–20:00: Development

20:00 onwards: Age Group, Senior, Youth

Friday

19:40–21:00: Age Group, Youth, Masters

Swim as many lengths as possible during your session

You may:

Stop for a drink

Take a toilet break

Rest if needed

Any stroke is allowed (though butterfly is not recommended! πŸ˜„)

We’re looking for:

We want to create a fun, vibrant and supportive atmosphere across all three nights.
