Help us raise the funds to install a canopy to the new Nature Hub that is being created at the school. The Nature Hub will be a new space for all of the children to enjoy as they learn various subjects from across the curriculum. The school have big plans for this space and it will offer a wealth of experiences for our children to enjoy.
The opportunity to have lessons outside and be near to nature will enhance the children's learning and provide a fun and engaging environment for them. The installation of a canopy means that they can be protected from the British weather whatever it decides to do on any given day! It will provide sun shelter on the sunniest of days but also rain protection from the inevitable rain showers.
We would love for the children to get involved by taking on an activity of their choice and being sponsored by their family and friends. Perhaps they will leap like a frog multiple times to celebrate 2024 being a leap year. Perhaps they will swim, run or cycle like our Olympians. If they want to channel their inner Bake Off/Junior Masterchef then a cake sale or pizza offering could be the thing. There are plenty of other activities to inspire and get the money rolling in.... rock climbing, art gallery, lemonade stall, garage sale, skip-athon etc.
Please keep us updated with what the children get up to. Prizes will be given for the most fun and ingenious activity we hear about. You can email us at friends@wray-common.surrey.sch.uk, share photos on our new Instagram page @wraycommon or via our Friends Facebook page.
