Story
A World Record Ride with a Purpose
In June 2026, Caroline Livesey set a new North Coast 500 cycling world record, completing the iconic 828 km route in an astonishing 32 hours 21 minutes and taking more than four hours off the previous record.
But for Caroline this was never just about a world record.
This challenge was undertaken to raise funds and awareness for Peak Education Nepal, helping children access educational opportunities that would otherwise be beyond their reach.
The ride may be over, but our fundraising work continues.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters, this fundraiser has already been a huge success and will make a meaningful difference to the lives of many children. However, there is still more we can do. Every additional donation helps expand the reach and impact of Peak Education Nepal's work, creating opportunities for even more young people through education.
The North Coast 500 is one of the world's most demanding endurance cycling routes: 516 miles (828 km) of rugged Scottish terrain, relentless climbs, remote roads and famously unpredictable weather.
To achieve a world-record performance required:
Physical endurance
Mental resilience
Meticulous planning
Outstanding teamwork
Caroline rode continuously through the day, night and following morning, supported by an exceptional crew and motivated by the knowledge that every kilometre ridden could help create opportunities for children in Nepal.
For many children in Nepal, access to quality education can mean the difference between a life limited by circumstance and a future filled with opportunity.
This ride demonstrated what is possible when people come together behind a shared purpose. The record may have been broken, but the opportunity to make a difference remains.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this challenge so far. If you have not yet donated, there is still time to help us create even more impact.
