On 23rd April this year, I will be attempting to run 26.2 miles for the first time as I take part in the London Marathon.
For extra motivation and to make a real difference to those less fortunate, I've chosen to raise funds for Northamptonshire Community Foundation (NCF), in support of their efforts to promote and manage philanthropy within the county.
NCF work with donors and fund-holders to support a network of local voluntary and community groups to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged, awarding grants of over £1 million annually. Child poverty, unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence and social isolation are just some of the issues they strive to tackle.
As a Trustee of the Foundation, I've witnessed first-hand their excellent work in the local community, along with the tireless endeavour behind the scenes. As such, I'm proud to be raising money for such a worthy cause! Please give generously if you can, however all donations, regardless of the amount, will be hugely appreciated.
