Story

What are you hoping for this Christmas?

Our children at refuge tell us the best gift they could receive is quality time with their mum and siblings, happy memories and respite from difficult and often distressing circumstances.

With this in mind, were asking you to make a donation which can go towards buying them an experience that will provide escape, strength, adventure, fun and healing.

Give the gift of fun

£11.95 could pay for a childs admission to The Milky Way, a firm favourite with our resident children and a great place to spend quality time with Mum while having fun and making memories.

Give the gift of adventure

£30 could pay for an adult or child to have a riding lesson. The interaction between horse and rider is special, and its an adventure many of our families dream of experiencing.

Give the gift of healing

£35 could pay for a child or adult to take part in a surfing lesson, an invigorating way for them to experience the healing power of the ocean.

Give the gift of escape

£47.99 could pay for a 6-month subscription to Audible, enabling a family at refuge to find escape in an audiobook or podcast.

Give the gift of strength

£189.93 could pay for a 6-month gym membership and joining fee for a resident adult, and with it all the physical and mental health benefits of exercising in a safe and supportive environment.

You can of course also give any amount of your choice just choose the figure you wish to donate.

Each year we are blown away by the generosity our supporters show families in refuge. We, and they, are so grateful that they remain in your thoughts and appreciate any amount you are able to offer.

About the charity

We are a small local charity providing refuge for women and children fleeing domestic abuse in fear of their lives. While keeping them safe from further abuse we work with them therapeutically so they can move on from their abusers and head towards happier, healthier futures.
