Story
Around 100 children in the UK are diagnosed with neuroblastoma each year.
Neuroblastoma mostly affects children under the age of five.
Neuroblastoma can be classified into different ‘risk groups’, and while the survival rate for ‘low risk’ neuroblastoma is over 90%, for ‘high risk’ neuroblastoma, which accounts for around half of all diagnosis, survival rates drop to around 50%.Further research is therefore urgently needed to improve outcomes for all children diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
Our Research Funds are part of our exciting plans to fund and support pioneering research into cancers affecting children, teenagers and young adults. You can find out more about the research we fund on our website.
