New Bus for Hoppa

These are just a few comments from the people who use Waverley hoppa Community Transport. It is nothing less than a lifeline for some people for whom ordinary transportation is inaccessible.

hoppa provides affordable, supportive and accessible transportation services to people who are unable to access ordinary transport for any reason. Community transport services particularly empower older and disabled people to achieve better social, health and economic outcomes by supporting their continued independence and mobility. hoppa takes them everywhere they want to go: meeting up with friends, grocery stores, hospitals, clinics, day care centres, etc.

From time to time we must retire an old bus and acquire a new one: an efficient fleet of buses helps to maintain our high service levels and reputation for safety, reliability and affordability. In this campaign we aim to raise enough funds to replace one old bus with a new one modified with fold-out steps and a ramp or lift so that it's accessible for wheel-chair and push-chair users. hoppa is a charity that serves many different people. It supports older people: transportation is one of the keys to their well-being, helping them to maintain independence and health. It also supports young people with special needs and their families. Very importantly, it helps the environment: reducing the number of cars on the road helps make local roads safer and cleaner. hoppa takes people to hospital too, reducing the number of missed appointments which thereby creates savings for the NHS.
