Story
This year marks 60 years of our team serving the hills, valleys and communities of Northumberland. For six decades, your support has helped us respond when people need us most.
To continue delivering the best possible service, we’re fundraising for a new Multi-Purpose Vehicle — a vital addition to our operational capability.
This vehicle will have several key roles, including:
🔹 Control Vehicle – acting as the operational hub during incidents, coordinating search teams, communications and partner agencies.
🔹 Water Operations Vehicle – supporting our specialist water rescue capability.
🔹 Welfare Vehicle – providing a place for volunteers and casualties to rest, regroup and recover during protracted callouts.
🔹 Resilience & Adverse Weather Response – carrying essential equipment and improving mobility during severe weather events.
Our target is ambitious:
🎯 £150,000 by August 2026.
Reaching this goal will ensure we have a vehicle that helps us deliver an even better, safer and more coordinated rescue service for everyone who lives in, works in and visits our incredible countryside. Any funds raised in addition to our £150,000 target will go towards the ongoing maintenance and fuel costs of the vehicle.
