Help us maintain our village hall in Shabbington

We have built a new village hall in Shabbington, known locally as The Hut. Please help us maintain and improve the facilities we can offer the villagers.

To improve the conditions of life of the inhabitants of Shabbington by: -The provision and maintenance of a village hall for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time activities -The enhancement of the village recreation ground -The furthering of any other charitable purposes

Story

Shabbington is a village on the Bucks/Oxfordshire border. In 1928, the villagers hand-built their village hall (known locally as The Hut), but in 2024, it had reached the end of its life. The villagers worked tirelessly to raise money, and in June 2025, work began to rebuild a new one. In December 2025, a new Hut was opened to much fanfare.

We need to continue fundraising to maintain the new Hut and provide additional facilities that serve the villagers. On our shopping list are: an acoustic curtain to dampen noise levels, toys for toddlers and babies groups, children's chairs and tables, a projector and a screen for a cinema club.

All and any donations are gratefully received. Please donate and spread the word. Thank you.

On behalf of the Shabbington Village Community Trust
