Story

I am taking part in the Olympic distance Triathlon at Robina, The Gold Coast Queensland on 17th November 2024.

The Triathlon will consist of a 1.5km Swim, a 40k Bike Ride and a 10k run.

I hope to raise funds for St David's Hospice Care in memory of my Aunt Sheila Woodhouse, who was cared for by the hospice.

Many will fondly remember Sheila as the former Mayor of Abergavenny .

During a long career in public service Sheila also served as chairperson of Monmouthshire County Council on two occasions , a rare honour.

She supported many local charities including A.A.O.D.S, Nevill Hall League of Friends, Abergavenny/Oestringen Twinning Association , Abergavenny Borough Band and for over forty years The Gateway Club . To name a few!

Sheila gave so much of herself to the community she loved .
