It is often called a "silent disease" because many people have no symptoms until their kidneys are severely damaged. The Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund (NIKRF) is the leading charity dedicated to funding kidney research in Northern Ireland. Working alongside researchers at Queen's University Belfast and the Ulster University we invest in pioneering research to improve diagnosis, develop better treatments and, ultimately, find cures for kidney disease.
