Story
The Hard Surface at the back of the recently refurbished tennis courts on Nine Acres in Charlbury is a place where children and others can try out their skills, play and exercise. It is free to children and open to all.
It’s also vital for team sports as well. The Tennis Club has to have three courts to participate fully in the leagues. Football needs a surface for 5 a side and for coaching. Having refurbished courts which are properly marked out for tennis and football will stimulate real growth in sporting activities and give more opportunities for young people locally.
This is the current state of the hard surface. It has come to the end of its natural life and is in immediate need of a complete refurbishment and relaying. It will be replaced with high quality AstroTurf.
