Visit the charity's profileSince August 2017, when a small group of people hared the same vision, got together to discuss the possibility of Northumberland having its own Pride we have come leaps and bounds since.
Northumberland Pride aims to raise awareness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT+) culture and heritage. We do this in safe spaces which break down barriers, promote inclusion and support across the County of Northumberland. Our vision is to celebrate LGBT+ life with our allies, across Northumberland through events and project work.
We are a very small charity with big ideas - and since formation we have shown that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!
Being LGBT+ in rural communities can be daunting, scary, overwhelming and difficult - but with Northumberland Pride we can reach out and ensure we all have a place, and with your support we can do this. Each & every donation is valuable and will help us continue to make changes in a county that not long ago was struggling with any kind of LGBT+ visibility.
