Story
Nepal is more than a land of breathtaking mountains, lush valleys and serene lakes—it is our home, our heritage and a place deeply rooted in our hearts.
On 26 August 2026, catastrophic flash floods devastated communities across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun. Thousands of families have been displaced, homes and livelihoods have been destroyed, and many people are facing an uncertain future.
Behind every statistic is a human story: a family without shelter, a child whose school has been destroyed, an older person without essential care, and communities grieving while trying to rebuild their lives.
In response, the Nepalese Nursing Association UK (NANUK) is launching an urgent fundraising appeal to provide immediate humanitarian relief and support the long-term recovery of the communities most severely affected.
As nurses and members of the wider Nepalese community, compassion and care are at the heart of who we are. At this time of immense need, we stand together with the people of Nepal.
Your donation will help to:
* Provide clean water, food, emergency shelter and medical supplies
* Rebuild damaged homes and schools
* Restore health posts and essential healthcare services
* Establish support and care facilities for older people
* Provide psychological and emotional support to survivors
* Protect children who have lost parents by providing safe accommodation, food and education
All funds raised will be directed to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund under Nepal’s one-door policy, helping to ensure that donations are managed transparently and reach the communities most in need.
No contribution is too small. Every donation represents hope, safety and the reassurance that those affected are not alone.
Please stand with Nepal during this heartbreaking time. Together, we can support survivors rebuild their homes, restore their communities and move forward with dignity, courage and hope.
