Northampton to Belmullet Cycle 2025

This incredible six-day cycle challenge, spanning over 700 kilometers and three countries, will take place from August 2nd-7th 2025. All funds raised will go directly to supporting communities in need in both Northamptonshire and North-West Ireland.

The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation launched during the Covid-19 pandemic to help alleviate hunger & provide essential supplies. Evolving to a multi-faceted charity, we aim to enhance wellbeing & improve the standard of living for Northampton residents who are faced with sudden & unexpected hardship.

Story

🚴‍♂️ Six Days. Three Countries. Over 700 Kilometres. 🚴‍♀️

Get ready for an unforgettable journey as we take on the Northampton to Belmullet Cycle Challenge from August 2nd-7th, 2025 - an epic test of endurance, teamwork, and determination! Covering over 700 kilometers, this cycle begins at the Swan and Helmet Pub in Northampton, where cyclists will set off on their journey through the heart of the UK and then across into Ireland.

Day 1: Northampton → Rugeley

Day 2: Rugeley → Chester

Day 3: Chester → Holyhead

Day 4: Dublin → Trim

Day 5: Trim → Ballaghaderreen

Day 6: Ballaghaderreen → Belmullet

All funds raised from this event will support the vital work of The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation, and six incredible charities based in Belmullet and the North-West of Ireland: Erris Youth Disability Network (EYDN), Erris Family & Community Support Centre (EFCSC), Erris Heartbeat Defibrillator, Cara Iorrais, and CLG Béal an Mhuirthead.
