The High Sheriff's Initiative brings people closer to their communities to create a more cohesive society. It seeks to help communities and people within Northamptonshire realise their potential, creating stronger and safer neighbourhoods and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.

Your donation will support this year's fund, which will focus on tackling serious youth crime by awarding grants of up to £3,000 to projects covering one of three themes: preventative, early intervention or intervention.

Preventative: Projects working with vulnerable families and communities to reduce childhood adversity

Early intervention: Projects working with at risk or excluded children and young people

Intervention: Projects working with young people at risk of offending or re-offending in relation to violent crime

Northamptonshire Community Foundation will facilitate the assessment of applications to this fund, which will be open to new and existing projects, as well as projects led by young people.
