Three Peaks Challenge 2025 - Amnesty UK · 24 June 2025 to 25 June 2025 ·
Closes 31/12/2026
A team from the Nottingham Trent will be tackling the trek which is considered Britain's toughest outdoor challenge, taking on the highest mountains of England, Wales and Scotland as you summit Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis on an incredible hike.
This challenge will see them climb 5,200 feet and trek 25 miles through magnificent scenery with a team of fellow adventurers. They will complete this trek in around 36-hours, meaning they'll be taking on the three mountains at all times of the day and night.
It will be a tough hike but the amazing views of rolling green hills and shimmering lakes will be worth the climb. Please share their fundraising efforts by contributing to their fundraising pages and sharing them with your friends and family.
The team will also be trying to raise £790 each for Amnesty International UK!
Amnesty International UK works to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. We defend human rights whenever and wherever they are under threat and bring perpetrators of abuse to justice. We protect individuals at risk, fight for the unjustly imprisoned and prevent torture. We support marginalised groups including women, refugees, LGBTI, and other minority groups.
Some examples of issues we are currently working on include:
'I Welcome' - We work to create a fair and effective system for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the UK (and abroad).
Women's rights - Human rights are basic rights that every person on the planet should be entitled to but many are routinely denied to women and girls. Deep-seated discrimination and social traditions often set unequal power relations between men and women. And some human rights will be denied to a woman on a daily basis (access to education or healthcare) creating multiple obstacles women face over and over again.
Human Rights in the UK – from resisting plans to scrap the Human Rights Act, working with our Belfast office supporting campaigners in their quest for justice, to supporting refuges settling in the UK with our Football Welcomes programme, we work tirelessly to support human rights at home.
