The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe Novi will spend the night in cardboard shelters to raise awareness of homelessness and learn from those Porchlight has helped to get off the streets and back in control of their lives. They will hear from one of Porchlight's staff members who will share their own personal story of rough sleeping, to give the students insight into the realities of what homeless people face every day.
The next morning the boys will participate in activities that will help them understand the main routes to homelessness, the randomness of luck and chance in people's lives, and challenge their thinking behind cause and blame.
2024 marks Porchlight’s 50th anniversary. Porchlight was originally founded to help people facing the devastating effects of homelessness, but today we also tackle the causes and consequences of poverty and inequality.
Whilst this is a time to reflect on the thousands of people they have been able to support over the decades, the sad truth is their services are needed now more than ever. The ongoing cost-of-living crisis and housing emergency mean the number of people experiencing or facing homelessness is rising.
Together we can fight for a safe home, better life and fairer future for everyone.
Find the specific House you want to support in the list on the right, or scroll down, or you can donate here to support the event overall. Anything you can give will mean so much to the boys and the people Porchlight support.
