Story
3,448 people asked ALABARÉ for help. Not all of them received it. Help us change that.
Last year alone, 2,533 people were supported by ALABARÉ through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
But as we reflect on the past year, one reality is impossible to ignore.
3,448 people were referred to our services.
Every one of those referrals represents someone facing homelessness.
Someone reaching out.
Someone asking for help.
But too many could not access the support they needed.
Through our Now You See Me campaign, we’ve been highlighting those experiencing homelessness — people too often hidden in plain sight.
But what we are seeing now is even more stark.
People are not invisible.
They are being seen.
They are stepping forward and asking for help.
And still — they cannot always get the support they need.
We are seeing more people facing homelessness than ever before — and more people taking the brave step to ask for help.
But we cannot support everyone.
Not because the need isn’t there.
But because the capacity isn’t there.
At the heart of this issue is something very simple:
Without more capacity, we cannot help more people.
That means:
• More people left without safe accommodation
• More people remaining in crisis
• More missed opportunities to step in at the moment help is needed most
Because when someone reaches out for help, that moment matters — and we must be ready to respond.
We are raising £35,000 to fund additional supported accommodation capacity — creating more spaces for people facing homelessness to access safety, stability and support.
Because:
More funding = more safe places for people to rebuild their lives
More safe places = more people supported
Through our Now You See Me campaign, we’ve been highlighting those experiencing homelessness — people too often hidden in plain sight.
But now, we are seeing something even more urgent.
People are being seen.
They are asking for help.
Now we must be ready to respond.
