ABOUT OUR FOOD BANK

We provide emergency food, support and advice to people across Wandsworth borough who are referred to us in hardship

We provide a warm welcome, emergency food and support, and advice from our Foodbank Advice Project to people and families across Wandsworth borough who are experiencing severe hardship.

Wandsworth Foodbank was started by St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise in 2013, in partnership with other local churches, in response to the growing need we saw in our community. We’re a local food bank that’s part of the national Trussell Trust community of food banks.

In 2023/24 we provided more than 11,000 emergency food supplies to local people, alongside support and advice. One in three emergency food parcels were for children. Find out more in our research section, including our new report Pressure is Rising, or quick infographic impact report.

Many people visit one of our six food bank welcome centres in churches and community centres across the borough, although we also provide home delivery to people referred to us but who can’t get to our centres because of disability or ill-health.

None of this would be possible without the continued, incredible generosity of people in our local community who give food, money and time to help those in need around us. We’re so grateful to everyone who shares what they have through the Foodbank. Thank you.

Our previous Campaign raised over £800, we will continue with this to effort this year to see how much money we can raise.
