Note update 6 June - Challenge date moves back a week! (Now on Friday 14th June...)
Sir Charles (Prof Yorkshireman) - The Alan Bennett of Oaklea had an idea....
That has led to encouraging some of his dear colleagues to hike the Yorkshire Three Peaks...
It'll be an early start - it'll involve top chatter and will end not in tears but with a beer or (Yorkshire) Tea!
The challenge begins and ends in Horton-in-Ribblesdale and covers the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.
The walk covers a distance of 37.5 km (23.3 mi) to 42 km (26.1 mi) (depending on route) circuit of all three peaks with nearly 1,600 m (5,249 ft) of ascent and descent.
