Story
Dear Families,
Following on from the huge fundraising success and fun of our Scootathon last year, we have another exciting and fun-filled way to raise money this time to further enhance OPaL play, and we need your help!
This year, we have introduced OPaL Play and while we have invested a large amount of money already and had so many generous donations of play equipment from so many of you, we want to enhance it further with large sand pits and digging equipment for the hill!
We’re inviting the whole school to take part in a ‘Bounceathon’ on Friday 26th June on the school playground!
Here’s how it works:
We encourage children to come into school with anything they can jump/ bounce with, e.g. space hoppers, pogo stick if they can. Each class will have a turn throughout the day to bounce around their playground, working together to complete as many bounces as possible! This is all about participation and fun! But we will be recording the total number of bounces per minute from each child and adding them up for a grand total. Please only bring one item per child, and make sure it is clearly labelled with their name. If needed, we will provide masking tape on the day to help with labelling.
What if my child doesn’t have anything to bounce on?
No problem! We will organising lots of jumping/ bouncing activities, so there’s NO need to buy anything.
How can we help raise money?
Children can collect sponsorships (price per bounce) from close family and known friends or each child can pay £1 to enter. Donations can be made via our Just Giving page, on ParentPay or cash on the day.
We are so excited for this fantastic event, and we know the children will have an amazing time while raising money for this worthwhile cause. Thank you for your support—we can’t wait to see everyone bouncing their way to success!
Many thanks,
Joanne Reilly
