Oxford’s First Hindu Temple – Help Us Complete This Historic Journey!
A dream that once seemed distant is now within reach—Oxford is about to have its very first Hindu temple! After years of dedication, perseverance, and overwhelming community support, we are thrilled to announce that the construction of our temple in Marston is in its final stages.
⚠️ Please Note

From Vision to Reality – We’re Almost There!
Last year, we were granted planning permission to transform a building into a sacred space for worship, culture, and community gatherings. Since then, through generous donations and tireless fundraising efforts, our vision has started to take shape.
To showcase this progress, we will be sharing recent photos of the construction work, highlighting the incredible transformation that has taken place.
Hindu Temple Building is Complete

Thank you to those who have donated so far to the temple building project. Work on the temple building has finished and we are just about to start the construction of the car park with drainage system, and the installation of bicycle shelters for 28 bicycles.
Murtis for the temple are on their way from India.
We still have a funding gap of £27,000. Among other things, we still need money to build the altar place for the murtis and to equip the temple with furniture and items to keep it functioning on an ongoing basis. Please continue to share the link to this page and encourage people to donate.
All donations of £500 and over will be acknowledged on Donation Boards in the temple. If you would like your family's name to be featured on the walls of the temple in perpetuity this is the opportunity to do that.
A Glimpse into the Future
In addition to construction updates, we are thrilled to reveal artists’ impressions of the completed temple. These visual representations will provide a glimpse into what the temple will look like once fully built—a beacon of spirituality, culture, and togetherness for generations to come.
