Oliver Leslie is fundraising for CST! In April, Oliver will be fighting in a charity, white-collar boxing match.
On April 13th 2019 I will be fighting in a charity boxing match with all the money I raise going to support CST.
Information regarding tickets to the event is available on the Hitclub UK website and on the Hitclub UK instagram.
CST is Community Security Trust. It is the only organisation in the UK working to protect the Jewish Community from terrorism and combat antisemitism and other forms of prejudice.
CST works with other faith communities in Britain, combating prejudice and bigotry in all forms. As a model of best practice for a minority communal security organisation, CST provides security advice to Hindu Temples, Sikh Gurdwaras, Churches and Mosques throughout the UK. CST helped in the creation of Tell MAMA, a Muslim community initiative to measure and combat anti-Muslim hate crimes. CSTs hate crime booklet, funded by the Home Office, uses CSTs experience and knowledge to help other community groups establish hate crime reporting networks.
CST is a trusted partner of the Police and the UK Government, speaking with an authoritative voice on antisemitism, without exaggeration or political bias. It is the pre-eminent source of data and analysis on antisemitic activity in UK.
CST works across secular and religious communities to secure 600 synagogues and Jewish schools as well as 1,000 communal events every year. The organisation provides high-quality training to its 3000 volunteers in physical defence methods and counter terrorism techniques.
With antisemitic incidents increasing annually and antisemitic discourse entering the mainstream, I believe it is essential to spread the word, especially to younger people and increase awareness of the essential work done by CST to protect Jews and facilitate Jewish life throughout the UK. The next generation must take responsibility for supporting CST because if we dont, no-one will.
This charity is very close to my heart and their work is essential to ensure that Jewish people can continue to live peacefully within our country.
I have never done any form of boxing before and I will be making my debut in front of an audience of 1000 people at The Oval Space.
I am training three times a week at St Pancras (Kentish Town) and Box Sport(Barnet) gymnasiums. All the money I raise will be going directly to CST.
Thank you in advance for any donation given, it is greatly appreciated and towards a crucial cause!!!
