ON YER BIKE

We are cycling to support Young Bristol, the official Change A Life Charity partner for Computershare’s Bristol office. Your contributions will help Young Bristol to offer a choice of opportunities and experiences for young people. Together, we can make a positive impact and build brighter futures for our youth.

THE STORY

On Yer Bike is a much loved event at the Bristol office and has been successfully running for numerous years. Computershare employees take on one of three gruelling routes to cycle for the day to support a good cause. This year we are also inviting our clients to take part and we will be raising money for Young Bristol, the local charity chosen by Bristol employees.

Young Bristol is recognised as Bristol’s leading provider of community-based youth services, through community youth club network, and a valued provider of outdoor activities, mobile youth services, as well as outdoor employment and informal educational opportunities.

On 11th September 2024, employees and clients will take the challenge of cycling routes of 20, 55 or 70 miles across the beautiful North Somerset countryside.

Participants need a minimum sponsorship target of £100, but the more we raise, the greater the positive impact on the lives of young people in Bristol.

Please, support our fundraisers and teams to raise as much as possible, so together we can build a better world for the new generations.

CHANGE A LIFE

Computershare’s charitable foundation, Change A Life, was founded in 2005 with the aim of empowering people around the world. Since then, Change A Life, in partnership with Computershare’s employees, has raised funds to support a wide range of projects. These include sustainable agriculture and reforestation, food security, mobile eye care clinics, disaster relief, and various programs for children in need of education or welfare support.

Supporting Communities Close to Our Offices

Since 2017, Change A Life has partnered with numerous not-for-profit organisations near our offices to provide practical support to local communities. Employees have a say in selecting the organisations we support through regular surveys. Currently, Young Bristol is the official charity partner at the Bristol office.
