Help the WEA support more adult learners.
The WEA brings meaningful education and learning opportunities for adults across the UK. Access to education is vital for everybody. Not just for employment and skills but for health, happiness and wellbeing. We believe that high-quality adult education can open doors for everyone.
We need your help to open the door to new students. Helping build a happier, healthier future for our community.
Lisa had left school and home at 16, pregnant, she told us how by holding classes in places that were accessible to her made a huge difference to whether she made the decision to go or not.
I'd been out of education for a long time so it was a big step to take that first step back in to the classroom. It was frightening and nervous time. All I remembered was the teacher relationship at school that I didn't like but I immediately felt comfortable here. By the time I finished the course I was happy to put my hand up because my confidence had grown so much.
